DMind.ai Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 15 May 2025

Introduction

DMind (“DMind.ai,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is an open-source AGI research organization building AI- and Web3-focused tools. We are committed to protecting your privacy and explaining how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information.

Scope

This Privacy Policy covers personal information processed when you:

  1. Visit dmind.ai or any sub-domain.

  2. Use our APIs, datasets, demos, or other services (collectively, the “Services”).

  3. Interact with us via community channels such as X/Twitter, Discord, GitHub, or Hugging Face.

  4. Participate in research studies, beta programs, events, surveys, or other activities we host.

It does not apply to third-party websites, blockchains, or services that merely integrate with or link from DMind.ai.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly: name, e-mail address, company, job title, wallet address, issue tickets, pull-request comments, survey responses, and event registrations.

  • Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and operating-system details, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages, clicks, and error logs—captured by cookies, server logs, and analytics pixels.

  • Blockchain data: public wallet addresses, transaction hashes, and token balances whenever you interact with our smart-contract-based Services.

  • Open-source contribution data: code commits, dataset uploads, model checkpoints, and related metadata in public repositories.

  • Third-party data: usernames or profile images from OAuth sign-ins (e.g., GitHub or Google) and usage metrics from model-serving providers.

Blockchain transparency notice: Once data is written to a public blockchain it is public, immutable, and may be linked to you by anyone. We cannot change or delete on-chain records.

How We Use Your Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Services.

  • To operate our open-source community, including attribution, badging, and leaderboard display.

  • To conduct research, develop new models, benchmark performance, and detect bias or misuse.

  • To communicate with you—responding to inquiries, sending product updates, newsletters, or event invitations when you opt in.

  • To secure our infrastructure, prevent fraud, spam, or abuse, and investigate incidents.

  • To comply with legal obligations such as sanctions checks, KYC/AML requirements, or lawful disclosure requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

Legal Bases (EU/UK GDPR)

We rely on one or more of the following:

  • Contractual necessity to deliver the Services you request.

  • Legitimate interests in securing and improving our Site and fostering open research, provided these interests do not override your rights.

  • Consent for optional cookies, marketing e-mails, or beta programs.

  • Legal obligation when compliance with applicable law is required.

Sharing and Disclosure

Service providers who host infrastructure, deliver e-mail, handle payments, or offer cloud inference—bound by confidentiality obligations.

  • Blockchain networks and node operators to execute transactions you initiate.

  • The open-source community, because commits, issues, and model checkpoints you publish are inherently public.

  • Affiliates or acquiring entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, or restructuring.

  • Regulators or law-enforcement agencies when required by law or valid legal process.

  • Other users if you voluntarily post content, comments, or leaderboard results that are intended for public display.

International Transfers

We and our service providers operate globally. Personal information may be processed in any country where we or they maintain facilities. For transfers of EU/UK data outside the EEA or the UK, we rely on adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other lawful mechanisms.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. Blockchain data remains permanently visible on chain, and open-source contributions stay publicly accessible unless you delete them from the project history.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.

  • Restrict or object to certain processing activities.

  • Receive a portable copy of your data.

  • Withdraw consent for marketing or cookies at any time.

  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (EEA/UK) or exercise “know,” “delete,” or “correct” rights under California law.

To exercise any of these rights, e-mail [email protected]. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use first- and third-party cookies and pixels to analyze traffic, remember preferences, secure sessions, and improve performance. You may disable cookies via your browser settings, but parts of the Site may not function properly

Security

We employ industry-standard measures such as TLS encryption, role-based access controls, penetration testing, and code-reviewed smart contracts. Absolute security cannot be guaranteed; if you discover a vulnerability, please report it to [email protected]

Children’s Privacy

DMind.ai is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete the data promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and we will notify you via e-mail or in-product message where appropriate.
